FreeB Formats Accessing Claim Data

Generally all of the data in the claim is available to the format, because the php objects are in the local scope of the template. In english it means that you can access Claim data inside the template like this..

{$patient->get("first_name")}
{$patient->get("last_name")}
{$patient->get("identifier")}

Generally it is pretty easy to discover what data is available to a format. Simply take a look at the claim editor in the FreeB web interface. Everything on that display is renamed to an all-lowercase variable with underscores for spaces. So the first name of the referring provider is accessed using

{$referring_provider->get("first_name")}

Even though on the FreeB claim editor interface it is displayed as "Referring Provider" and "First Name". So that is how data on the web interface translates to data inside the template. There is some data that is associated directly with the claim. These are accessed simply using the the following syntax.
